I have been reviewing the by-laws and wanted to pass
on some information to the all of the membership. ARTICLE
H- PURPOSE The purpose of the Council shall be to:
- Assist artist and arts organizations through advocacy,
education, and efforts to increase awareness of community
policymakers and resources.
- Coordinate and disseminate information concerning
all the arts.
- Sponsor and encourage cultural, educational, and
creative activities.
A full set of by-laws are available to any member.
Having said all of the above, I am including a list
of the Accomplishments of 2005.
- Developed a newsletter/website
- General membership meeting - Filipino Cultural
Dance and Entertainment Group
- Kings River Discovery- Hosted rock painting for
children
- Held three childrensÕ art workshops- Digital
Photography, Quilting, Paper Mache
- Partnered with Kings River Quilting Guild to market
their Quilt Show & Held Quilt Show in the Opera
House Gallery
- Developed a Quilt Walk Brochure
- Held Fiesta Art Show
- Hosted six art shows in the Opera House Gallery
