The increase in cases investigated was done even though we were short one full time detective for a majority of the year due to an on the job injury. In addition to all these responsibilities the Records Unit is responsible for processing all reports and ensuring all criminal cases having to be filed with the District Attorney's office are prepared in the appropriate time. In 2011, the Records Unit filed approximately 849 cases with the District Attorney's office.
