Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP)

 

 

The City of Reedley is developing and implementing a Sewer System Management Plan

(SSMP) pursuant to State Water Resources Control Board Order 2006-0003, Statewide

General Discharge Requirements of Sanitary Sewer Systems. The goal of the SSMP is to minimize the frequency and severity of Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs). The SSMP will cover the management, planning, design, and operation & maintenance of the City's sanitary sewer system. The development process began in early 2007 and will be completed by August 2009. State Order 2006-0003 may be accessed in its entirety below.

June 9, 2009                        SSMP Notice of Public Hearing
July 6, 2009                          SSMP final draft complete, disseminate to Board for review
July 14, 2009                        SSMP presented at City Council
July 14–July 24, 2009           SSMP revisions as necessary based on City/Public comment
July 28, 2009                        City Council to Approve Final SSMP
Aug. 2, 2009                         SSMP Deadline
