Public Works provides service to parks, streets, street
signs, traffic signals, alleys, sidewalk, parkway trees,
water, sewer, storm drainage and refuge/recycling collection.
The Public Works Supervisor oversees the Parks, Street
Maintenance, Equipment Shop and the Refuge/Recycling
Collection crews.
This department is responsible for all streets, sidewalks,
curbs and gutters including alleys. We do all minor
street repairs, striping (some of the street striping
is contracted out), street sweeping, traffic signing
and maintenance. Public Works maintains and repairs
all sewer and storm drain mains within city rights-of-ways
and easements. In addition to street work we also provide
all collection of refuge within the City of Reedley
Limits. The Public Works Division is also responsible
for the maintenance and repair of all City equipment
and vehicle fleet.
